Terms Of Service

The rules for using Shortlistd — concise and in plain English.

1. Agreement To These Terms

By creating an account or using Shortlistd, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Shortlistd is a product of HBDigital, registered in the United Kingdom.

2. The Service

Shortlistd analyses job descriptions against the CV text you provide and generates a match score, a requirements breakdown and tailored CV sections. We may also generate cover letters.

The service is provided for personal, non-commercial use by job applicants.

3. Your Responsibilities

You confirm that any CV and personal data you upload is yours to submit, and that the content is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, misleading or infringes anyone else's rights, and you must not attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.

4. AI-Generated Content

Suggestions and rewrites are generated with the help of AI processing. They are grounded in your own CV, but they are not professional advice and they may contain errors.

You are responsible for reviewing every suggestion for accuracy before sending your CV or cover letter. Never include anything that is not genuinely true for you.

5. Plans And Payment

The Free plan costs nothing. Pro features are clearly labelled and, when paid plans launch, will be billed in GBP on a monthly basis.

Paid plans can be cancelled at any time from your Account page, with no minimum term.

6. Account And Data

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

Your CV and analyses are private to your account. You can delete your account at any time, and you can request deletion of your data via the Contact page.

7. Intellectual Property

The Shortlistd name, design and software are owned by HBDigital and protected by intellectual property law.

You own the content you submit (your CV and job descriptions) and the tailored outputs generated for you.

8. Availability And Changes

We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may modify or discontinue features from time to time.

9. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, HBDigital is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes such as interview invitations or job offers arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
